निपातितश्चण्डो नाम राक्षसो यया सा च सा विपातितो मुण्डनामा

<p text="C" n="4">जय हो जय हो माता | महिषासुर मर्दिनी । जय हो रम्यकेश

विन्यास से शोभायमान शैलपुत्री | तुम ने युद्ध में तेज दौडते हुए

घोडों को सौ सौ टुकडे कर मार गिराया । बडे बडे हाथियों के सूड़ों

को हजारो टुकडे कर फेंक दिया । तुम्हारा वाहन सिंह भी हाथियों

के गण्डस्थल फाड डालने के पराक्रम से प्रख्यात हुआ | तुम ने अपनी

भुजाओं से सेनाधिपति चण्ड और मुण्ड नाम के प्रखर योद्धाओं को

मार गिराया ॥४॥

foreheads of enemies' elephants, who with her

staff-like arms knocked down demon Chanda and

caused the fall of demon Munda who has crushed</p>
